Curriculum
Critical Hip-Hop Pedagogy is a teaching method that integrates hip-hop culture with education. Pioneered by Christopher Emdin, Edmond Adjapong, and GZA, this approach uses powerful lyrics, beats, and samples to make financial literacy and other subjects more engaging and easier to understand. With its use of rhyme, alliteration, and repetition, hip-hop creates a memorable linguistic environment that imprints information directly into students' minds. The result is an emotional connection to the material that leads to increased engagement, critical thinking, and student outcomes.

Financial literacy is a critical aspect of the education of today's youth, and having a comprehensive financial literacy curriculum in high school is crucial in preparing students for the challenges they will face in the 21st century. The curriculum teaches the basics of various financial topics such as budgeting, managing debt, building credit, investing, and retirement planning. With this knowledge, students will be better equipped to make informed financial decisions when they encounter real-life scenarios.

Incorporating financial literacy into the curriculum is also an opportunity to raise awareness about socio-economic inequity and encourage students to think critically about the implications of financial decisions. Our business aims to create a positive impact in the global community by utilizing hip-hop culture in innovative interactive workshop sessions. Our goal is to build self-esteem in our participants by empowering them with financial literacy knowledge and promoting financial sovereignty.
